The Uruguayan Football Association on Monday announced that former Barcelona striker, Luiz Suarez, has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Atletico Madrid forward contracted the virus during international duty with his national team.
Suarez will miss Atletico Madrid’s clash with his former club on Saturday in La Liga.
The top-class striker joined Atletico during the summer transfer window following the change of leadership at the Camp Nou.

A former National Vice Chairman (Northwest) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Salihu Mohammed Lukman has shared his concerns over the economic situation in the country. He urged President Bola Tinubu to sit up and and re-evaluatee some of the policy decisions he has taken in the past 10 months.
He stated this in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja and titled ‘Heartbreaking Reflections.’
